The Apparel, Textile, and Merchandising program at Central Washington University didn't just help me learn about fashion but also the business side. In the program, I have made many good friendships that will last a lifetime. I learn something new every day from my peers and its always a great environment to work in and be surrounded by. 

 

The program has given me opportunities to go on field trips to gain connections for an internship or a full-time job position in the future. I got the chance to take a sewing class where I learned the basics of sewing a garment. I have taken a variety of design classes were you get to make mood boards, tech flats, and line sheets. Overall the learning experience I'm gaining in this program will help me in my career path. 

 

The Event Management program at CWU has taught me the professional way to host events. I learn new things every day in my classes like how to be sustainable when hosting an event, how to manage money, and the kind of contracts required. I enjoy being part of the program because not have I only made new friends in this program but I been able to participate in school events to help me gain experience in the event industry.
