About Me
Education: I am very happy and grateful to have chosen to attend Central Watching University and declare my major in the Apparel, Textile, and Merchandising program. Since I was a little girl I've known that fashion was always something I loved and I saw myself working in the industry. I have never changed my mind about what I wanted to do as I grew up. I decided to go to CWU because it's a hands-on learning experience and I felt that I was welcomed in the program. I'm always learning something new and I'm excited where my degree takes me in the future.
Strengths: Central Washington University is the result of my personal strengths. I chose to pursue my degree in fashion because I am creative, and love learning new things about fashion. I am a solid team player and open-minded to any kind of shift. When placed in groups of teams I like to include everyone's thoughts and feelings towards projects so nobody feels left out. I am a dedicated person when it involves accomplishing my dream goals I will do my best to give the best results back.
Values: I'm very lucky to have two wonderful parents that raised me with very important values. What important values mean to me are family, traditions, respect, and kindness. These values have helped me be where I am now and the kind of woman I am becoming. My dedication is to be respectful to everyone and be the best of myself this has helped me open doors from all directions. When I have rough days I turn it into a positive situation and learn from it and what I can do differently next time.
Technical Knowledge: Since being part of the Apparel, Textile, and Merchandising program I have learned to use a variety of techniques that will benefit me in future careers. I have taken Digital Presentation where I learned to use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I believe this class has helped my creativity side to the industry by showing them the techniques I learned and the passion I put into my work. I have taken retailing and selling classes to help me understand how merchandise is sold in companies. Taking Excel classes has taught me how to create surveys and budgets using different styles of worksheets and how to use the proper formulas. Socio-Cultural Aspects is another class that contributes by understanding the different cultural dress codes and the meaning behind it all. The classes offered in the program have increased my technology knowledge and fashion knowledge to make me more confident and prepared to work in the fashion industry.
